I am an Associate Professor in Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick, and a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the European Institute of the University College London in the UK. My research combines a theoretical focus on political campaigns, issue framing, politicisation of trade agreements, transnational social movements, and diffusion with a regional focus on the European Union.
I have extensive fieldwork experience in Spain, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Denmark, Ireland and the United Kingdom. Based on over 180 in-depth interviews with campaigners, media content analyses and public opinion data, I study EU referendum campaigns to understand the impact of campaign argumentation on public opinion.
My work has appeared in European Journal of Political Research, Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of Elections Public Opinion and Parties, Journal of Public Policy, Journal of European Integration, and as books with Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press and McGill-Queen’s University Press.
I completed my B.S. in International Relations at the Middle East Technical University before obtaining my M.A. in European Law at the University of Sussex, and my Ph.D. in Political Science at McGill University.
